Strategic Change Management for Human Resources Managers

Strategic Change Management for Human Resources Managers

Strategic change management is the process of managing change in a structured way in order to meet organizational goals, objectives, and missions. Three major types of strategic change are: Restructuring (reorganizing the departments and making changes in the hierarchy); Reengineering (altering the business processes) and Innovation (primarily an improvement over existing products or services). Strategic change requires HR managers to manage the technical, cultural and political aspects of change. HR managers must get people involved by adopting an inclusive approach and giving them a sense of ownership of the change process. HR participants will review proven models to manage strategic change
