Root Cause Analysis for Internal Auditors

This program will offer attendees some of the primary root cause analysis methods and techniques that can be employed in reporting, fieldwork, planning, and phases of an internal audit to expedite more in-depth discussions with the management on issues identified, consolidate audit observations reported, and improve audit effectiveness. These techniques can be used apart from or in conjunction with current audit methodologies, tools, and approaches. Participants will have the opportunity to practice and apply the skills learned during the course through a case study and exercises, which should enable them to integrate the tools and techniques into their audit engagement activities.
