Measuring Mechanical Vibrations and Methods of Measurement

This practical programme strives to offer attendees an in-depth overview of the fundamental concepts of vibration measurement. The programme teaches attendees how to appreciate harmonic motion in addition to the modelling of mechanical systems. During this workshop, participants will explore the free and forced vibration of single-degree-of-freedom and multi-degree-of-freedom systems; vibration of discrete and continuous systems; vibration isolation and damping, vibration measuring instruments; introduction to experimental modal analysis, as well as modal superposition method.
